I can't imagine that will be worth it

 

The whole band killed IARB on the IDOTG tour, so I want that to be my lasting memory of the album in full.

 

On presale? What's the point of a presale on a livestream? It's not like it could sell out.

I totally getcha, it's pretty shitty to fans, especially fans of your caliber. All I can say is I hear you!

 

It's not problematic for him to do this. The price is not crazy. I won't be paying personally but just because I've generally not found the livestream band watching to be too enjoyable or impressive overall. Guy's trying to make a living, can't hate on him for it.

 

I mean I'm not gonna pay for it but if people want to it doesn't bother me. Also I know they sent out an email asking people if they were missing anything so maybe reach out if you didn't get something.

 

What's the issue? It's a $14 live stream. Doesn't seem overly ridiculous to me

 

Other artists have been doing paid livestreams so I Don't understand why Max deciding to do so is an issue.

Yeah same. The livestream isn't an issue for me, I just feel like with Max's track record it's going to be poorly done.
I'm also still very confused with the presale. Livestreams can sell out? I've watched people on Instagram Live with tens of thousands of viewers and no issues. I'm not tech savy so I have no clue how servers and bandwidth and all that jargon means.
But I honestly don't understand why more artists aren't going to paid livestream route.

 

I mean why not sell access early as a "presale"? That's just a smarter business move. Get people interested and get their money before they lose interest and this is clearly being done as a way to support himself.

 

Nothing about selling the livestream, or how its being sold bothers me, it's everything else all compounded together over the last few years

 

Haha fair enough. I haven't been very close to a lot of the continuing drama with Max

 

I think what irks me the most is just like the lack of easy access to the kickstarter releases and stuff. I'm not going through my emails to find when I was sent what. I don't even know what I technically "ordered" anyway.

I've just given up caring about any of it at this point but it's definitely a bummer what a mess this has all been.

And ya nothing wrong with charging for a livestream or for selling presale tickets, but I'm not really that excited cus I know it'll just be Max sitting in his bedroom playing songs I've seen performed before.

 

I honestly just want everyone to bombard the chat midstream and ask him where all their Kickstarter rewards are and stuff. He needs to be held accountable to just taking people's money and giving so very little of what was promised.

 

I don't think that's a fair assessment more like it was just super late and some of it wasn't the quality we were expecting. Not saying there isn't any reason to complain but I don't think they didn't produce what they said they would. The below email is what I think anyone can reach out to if you're missing something.

Ya I was curious if anyone has tried reaching out to the person they hired to help them finish this up. I thought that was a good step that showed they were taking it seriously and not trying to leave anyone upset, but if she hasn't really been helpful either that's a bummer.

 

I have super low expectations for Bemis and co.

 

I didn’t back the Kickstarter but it sound like they felt they needed the money badly and so they started the Kickstarter without thinking about how and when they were going to provide backers with the incentives they paid for. The idea behind a Kickstarter (to me at least) is that the money you make off of it goes towards the incentives being offered. Not to buy a house and then send out incentives that cost them almost nothing to create lol.

 

You mean them offering to have their children serve as flower girls in a stranger’s wedding wasn’t a great idea?

 

Yeah all that was weird as fuck and I feel for people who contributed their money. I know people trashed the Eisley one but damn now those rewards were great, to me anyway haha.
