IDTII could have the best production in the world and I would still hate it. It's just not for me at all. Very excited to hear some new stuff though.
Is Dine Alone a bigger label? I'm surprised they left Equal Vision he even had his own label under them Rory Records
dine alone is a very big canadian label and not so big here but they do massive city and colour pressings in canada
“Will Yip also worked on Say Anything’s 2016 album I Don’t Think It Is, which came out on Equal Vision (and featured members of Japanese Breakfast, The Hotelier, The Blood Brothers, and more)“ WHAT????? This is news to me! What member from Blood Brothers is on it? Hot damn. Anyways this is weird (signing to Dine Alone) but exciting none the less. I hope he drops a single and album announcement/pre order on Friday!
Rum, So Numb, 17 Coked Up and Speeding, and #Blessed are pure gems and some of my favorite songs Max has written in the last decade.
Surprised by the move l, did not expect Equal Vision to drop (I assume) the band given the relationship. However, I will always have time for a new SA album and I feel the quality is on the up. Any word or rumours of a single?
I had no idea the drummer for the IDOTG anniversary tour was another DuPree. How many of them are there? Geez.
i need to revisit the last Two Tongues record, i don't remember enjoying it at all but i also don't remember it... at all
Listening to the "All My Friends" rarities collection this morning. There's some jems on this bad boy.
I didn't even know Dine Alone did US stuff since I only know them as the Canadian label for Flatliners, Dirty Nil etc
Someone on reddit said that Max estimated the new record to be out October during one of the Australia In Defense shows. Which is a bit of a bummer if true. That seems way far off.
I feel like I remember that October rumor coming out like last September, but for October 2017, because I specifically remember thinking it didn't seem right because I knew it wasn't supposed to be until this year. If I had to guess I'd say a single soon and the album in early June.
Max Bemis said on stage that the new songs sound “kind of like the demos [he] made between Baseball and …Is A Real Boy,” which lol
I always forget Kenny Bridges has been playing in Say Anything. I still throw on The Red Tree from time to time.
