I Don’t Think It Is has become one of my “I’m mad” albums. I don’t get angry often, but when I do, I either end up listening to that, or Saves the Day’s Sound the Alarm.

 

Meaning: you listen to said albums when you're mad or you listen to those albums and then get mad?

 

I listen to them when mad. Hahaha I don’t know if music could make me mad. Maybe irritated at most, if like, a friend was playing Skillet (the WORST band ever) while I was in their car or something. Haha

Saw that interview where Max speaks about IARB. Some pretty good insights into the album there and it's astounding how so many years later there are still little things about the album that I find and it just makes me appreciate it so much more. Definitely my favourite album ever

That being said, I don't know if I would appreciate it on another format. Only thing I might see is a comic book with Max at the helm since he's in that area.

Also agree that we need new music. Always need new music.

Just looked into Dine Alone. Tons of great bands on there, including JEWWWWWWWW

 

kind of weird because dine alone is mostly just the canadian label for american bands rather than their main home

 

Interested in a new album. Max's music used to mean the world to me and I started revisiting his pre-2009 stuff pretty often nowadays

Trying to listen to IDTIS again and it's... still not my cup of tea

 

Maybe they just want to eat some poutine by themselves nothing wrong with that

 

"So Numb" is "So Good" though!!!

 

I thought Max had an imprint on Equal Vision? interesting choice, would think it'd be ideal to keep everything in house and in control but maybe he hasn't got the time

 

the last album wasn't for me but I'll pretty much always check out their stuff

 

listening to I Don't Think It Is right now for the first time in a very long time... and god, i forgot how much i love this album! haha. yeah, the production choice is strange, but there's something about this album that i just love. it's my second favorite SA album, haha.

Absolutely. The songs are THERE, it's just the producton you have to mentally slug through to find them. I feel like if IDTII had been produced like any other SA album, people would appreciate it more.

 

I still think IDTII is horrible.

Watched that video of Max talking about ISARB. Really well put together and max looks like he just rolled out of bed.
