Haha, that's awesome. My wife and I are doing a DIY wedding reception in a couple weeks and the cost of that is about what our entire budget is, however.
What is with these old 2000s scene bands doing these weird tour/show concepts? I fucking love it lol. Please, let Cursive offer a package where they play at your or your loved ones funeral
I love the "we may ask to crash at your place" being in there like it's an inconvenience. That sounds pretty awesome haha
songshop was a unique crazy concept at the time too it's a way for him to make a ton of money very very easily without having to go on a big tour or anything
They have a family now, it's not so easy to go on big tours. This is genius, if it actually works. Idk how many people are willing to pay up.
The biggest difference to me is these will be mostly face to face interactions though. It will require him to travel. He'll still make a ton of money off of it, if it's successful. Easily though, I'm not sure. That's a lot of money for people to drop.
a little taken aback by the $7K cost for them to show up and play one song. I get that travelling is expensive but.....for $7K you should get more than a song. I'm getting married next year and I have a DJ/Live Music going from ceremony to end of reception and its like $4K.
Song sounds alright, how he doesn't have a professionalish sounding recording place in his house I don't know. Things sound better when I record them on my macbook lol.
I am a little bit upset by this. I got married last year and reached out to Max in an email basically asking him to play our first dance and willing to pay whatever. He emailed back saying that "unfortunately is something we never could do". A year later he is doing a full tour of it.
Maybe! But sucks because I absolutely would have done this last year. Edit: I am mainly just being a big jealous baby haha Stoked for anyone who gets to participate in this though!
no, I get it and I would be bummed about that too. it'd be really cool if you did inspire it tho haha
