Song is legitimately embarrassing

 

i liked the other singles, but this one along with the song titles for the rest of the album just killed any and all hype

 

Well that sure was something. Can't wait to here how awful On Cum will be

 

As much as it's incredible to hear Brian again, I never ever wanted to hear him sing:
"confuse date r*pe for a dinner and a date"
Again, instrumentally incredible but lyrically cringe and questionable

 

This thread had my expectations as low as possible going in, and I think I liked the new song.

Lyrics are weird, but that’s been my thought of many Say Anything songs from the beginning.

 

Weird? Try disgusting and extremely creepy.

 

Made it a minute and a half into the song. That's enough for me.

 

It makes me embarrassed to have ever listened to this band

 

Wow, this is terrible.

 

Instrumentally, I like it.

Lyrically, I hate it.

 

I’ve never really liked this band but yeah this is terrible

 

Ha fortunately this isn't musically great enough for me to care, but I remember back when IDATG came out, the ending of Vexed sounded like one of the best things I'd ever heard. But as a very, overzealous christian, "you think your jesus christ/you're not my jesus christ" I couldn't listen - the guilt was too much and I remember wishing he would just sing something else so I can enjoy the melody.

Not that I'm comparing vexed to this fucking monstrosity of 'writing'

 

Odds on which song will have grosser lyrics, this one or "On Cum"?

I think that ship sailed a while ago. He said he got the DC offer before they did their tour with Third Eye Blind, which I think was in 2015.
