Not only is it fucked up on more than one level but also who would want to wear that? Imagine trying to explain it to someone.
In light of semi-recent developments, I have decided it is best for me to simply let go of this band as opposed to working myself up over...whatever's been going on for the past five-plus years
How I’ve been feeling for a while but was hopeful maybe Max could just not be a tool for the future and then they do shit like this
It's just not worth it unless you want to turn into one of the Reddit snarkers picking apart Sherri's dad's new marriage lol. If I ever turn into that, please take me out back and do as necessary.
The shirt is almost sold out too. Did they print like 20 of each size. Who the fuck is buying this? I need a list of names
Not that it makes it any better but that shirt was released almost two years ago the same time the “Maxim Mental” album was announced
This has to be the worst idea for a shirt that's come out of the scene. Biggest accomplishment since IARB honestly.
This has nothing to do with this band, but I’m digging it and it’s slightly left of center abrasive pop rock music that I feel some folks would dig.
This is partly related to the shirt, but one of the worst things to happen in the era of social media/internet culture is the need for families to pimp out their children, make them part of your career, film them constantly without their consent or before they are of the age to be fully informed on what they are consenting to, etc. It's not just with this family, but lots of YouTubers and Instagram families. I don't think there is anything wrong with posting some pictures or videos of your children here and there but the oversharing culture that has developed is soooooo terrible. I really feel bad for not only their kids being part of all of this, but all the kids who have parents who feel the need to use their kids to help fund their careers.
i always appreciate how kristen bell and dax sheppard blur their children's faces when they do post family pictures, they are the only ones i know who do that, i follow bell on IG and its nice & safe.
Bell/Sheppard are still annoying as hell though. If you constantly have to write articles, publicize and talk about your relationship details on talk shows/magazine articles there's no way I can believe that's a good thing. I try not to judge but whereas I use to like them as celebrities it's just kind of gross. I don't want to know much about anyone's relationship celebrity-wise other than they're happy or whatever and their kids are good. The function of a celebrity (or music artist) should not be some weird cult voyeurism reality show.
Man, Max is a total shit head, but Is A Real Boy genuinely may be the best pop punk album ever made imo. At least that's how much it means to me.
I think it is without question pop punk, just with much more talented musicianship than your average pop punk band
