Very true, idk maybe I won't. Definitely a bit of self-justification from my end. Part of me wants to be there, but maybe it's better to let it rest.
It doesn’t have a release date yet. Just a title and a few singles. I imagine we’ll get a release date soon.
Again I’m not trying to champion for max because he’s a very complicated person. However we’re not apart of his family and unless someone from his family comes forward and addresses the things he’s accused of why is it our business? Yes the grifting stuff is gross but it sounds like he’s not doing well financially so if fans want to buy his kids art who cares? The dooping people out of stuff they paid for is absolutely an issue that needs to be addressed. One last thing it’s well documented he’s struggled with mental illness. Severely. So I just don’t think it’s fair to lump him in with actual Sexual abusers and violent offenders.
I'm not lumping him in with them and I don't think others are either. He's screwed over his fans and I think he should be held accountable for that. I believe he shouldn't be able to get away with a reunion tour that profits him when he's stolen money from people who put him in the position where's he's able to make some sort of living off of music. He doesn't value or respect his fans. I don't see why we should value or respect him.
Just being respectful of sa survivors who might lurk these threads and or just people who don’t like to see the name.
I just don’t get it though, how is it different than writing it out? I’m not trying to be a jerk, I legitimately don’t see how it’s different when it’s just as recognizable. If anything, you’d think it’s calling even more attention to it.
it 100% draws more attention to it. It makes you stop where you are reading, assess what the missing letters are, think about the words and why the are blocked out, and you spend a ton of time thinking about it.
might try and sneak into the show if Brian Warren is playing on this tour and just keep yelling "play weatherbox songs!!!"
and a decade ago on the 10 yr annv tour dude was loadedddd he must've blown all his money along the line, then all the cringy fund my family's home studio stuff always rubbed me the wrong way
they are playing a 5000 cap venue here in chicago, that's ambitious! they played a 1800 cap venue on the 10 yr tour WITH saves the day & reggie, that sold out quickly
I don't care what he does with the money he makes from concerts and albums. It's more the money he makes from ripping off his fans and never following through with what they paid for, then opening up the song shop multiple times to dupe more fans (or do a shitty, poorly-planned livestream concert).
the story of him showing his bank account to Mike from Pentimento on that tour has aged...interestingly
