I still really enjoy throwing this on once in a while. Daze, Pink Snot, Captive Audience, It's a Process (and others too) are all up there with the best. It's kind of become a comfort album for me
well my band released our album today on Spotify and Apple Music including the song that Max featured on. He wrote a really cool part--check it out! It's the seventh track called "The Target"
the song sounds good! was it part of a song shop type of thing? I’m curious as to how much something like that costs
Thank ya :) Thanks for the kind words! My partner actually got the feature for me as birthday/Christmas present from their Kickstarter so I don’t know exactly—I believe it was around $450? Set our present bar way too high. I’ve spent the last two years trying to live up to this quality of gift giving
Awesome song, thanks for sharing, he's been killing it on the songs I've heard him on, I'm like WHERE"S THAT MAX! You know, with decent production and melody he actually sounds like the dude I grew up music-idolizing. Good stuff though going to give the rest of the album a listen.
why thanks ya! man Oliver Appropriate was really cool but I agree the production hasn’t been quite right since the self-titled haha
Song with Max was really cool. I just gave the full album a listen and this is some really cool stuff. Congrats on the release!
thanks for the kind words—Took us 5 years to put together so we’re all stoked to have it out there finally!
Have had some drinks, been listening to SA almost constantly the last week. Ordered a Cameo from Max from me for me.
Getting back into SA over the last few months. I don't hate OA like I did initially but it's just ...so underwhelming. I get he wanted a more stripped back record but this is just a snooze fest and the concept is poorly executed and, in context, arguably makes IARB worse, though I treat each album as though they are in a vacuum.
Funny this thread is bumped I literally just put on the S/T like 15 mins ago and couldn't believe it's been 12 years since I enjoyed a SA album :(
ST is the second best SA album, closely tied with IDOTG. I am okay with pretty much every SA album EXCEPT anarchy cause that shit is trash. You really don't like anything after ST?
Night's Song is maybe my favorite SA song. say what you want about the rest I guess but respect the song
Anarchy has some good stuff on it even if it is one of his weakest records. IDTII is the trash record.
It's been awhile since I listened so I'll give it a spin. The album isn't bad! But...I rarely desire to revisit it. Like I said, the only album by SA I think is trash is Anarchy.
never gave Hebrews or I Don't Think It Is an honest sit-down listen, but I never got into anything after the Self-Titled either.
Hard disagree on IDTII. That album revitalized my love for the band after ry not liking Anarchy or Hebrews (though Hebrews grew on me, kinda)
