I like s/t for the same reason I like Hebrews, which is the replay value. Even if there are some lows, both are easy to listen to front to back.
Max finally did our kickstarter vocal feature. Took forever to get... but god damn, it’s pretty damn sweet.
Dropbox - Dayum.mp3 - Simplify your life Here’s what we got so far! We’re waiting for an updated mix, so you’ll hear his vocals and little guitar doodly at the end aren’t mixed in with the rest of the track. There are some other changes we want too for the mix, so not quite final form.
Riley, that's a kickass song. Max fits perfectly in it. Excited to hear more stuff. IARB - this is my GOAT album really. Helped me discover and accept reality and how I was separated from reality in different ways. Also led me from going there's something seriously wrong with me to oh, I'm bipolar. Shit makes sense a little. Early Demos and whatnot - some of these shaped my being IDOTG - super fun album. Hebrews - being a jew and concerned with getting older it hit me at the right time. S/T - just the catchiness had me into it. Anarchy - isolated songs were amazing with some filler. Baseball - some stuff I love but hard to put above the others Oliver Appropriate - listened once, didn't hate but didn't like it. The content/Max's mental place kind of turned me off from it. ... IDTII - It was Max's intent to sound how it sounded, it just wasn't for me.
Thank you so much :) I was a little nervous because Max insists on writing his own parts for his features, but I honestly think he knocked it out of the park! He left this real sweet note for us too:
This is a really great song! I’m super impressed. Max’s part was pretty cool too! What a dream come true!
Thank you!! I'll post in this thread when we actually have the finished version. Dream come true is exactly right! Also: S/T IARB Oliver IDOTG Hebrews Anarchy IDTII
i never checked out Oliver Appropriate and I actually loved Hebrews, due to how many like it, i am going to check it out
Yeah, Oliver is musically and vocally the best album in a while, I never dug in lyrically which is probably smart
I absolutely loved Oliver Appropriate. Agree that musically, it's the best Max has done in a while. The story though..... take that how you will.
I'm 90% certain Max accidentally dragged his first ever song shop attempt to the final OA folder before uploading.
It's just...I don't know...for me I just cant get over how amazing the last 3 albums could've been. I would kill to hear them with the sound and production of real boy, in defense or s/t. Still love Hebrews tho.
