Yup. What more could they do for the next 4 months to promote this thing? Super weird. Dine Alone JUST today put on their website that "Say Anything announce new studio album." Like, what? We've known about that for a few weeks now. Seems like they're not even ahead of info on their own release.

 

Nobody was ever going to make much money from this album itself. The money was gonna come from touring for the album. Since Max is no longer touring, the label is going to focus their energy on pushing bands that are touring and Max is focusing his energy on his Kickstarter. It kind of sucks for us that this is the treatment the final Say Anything album will get, but it’s not really surprising when you think about it.

 

Wonder if there's any other songs floating round since we have NO idea how the release is working.

 

Yeah, but wouldn't it benefit the label to have this thing out when it was initially going to come out at this point? They've released two singles... only to then release an album in January? Just get this thing out within the time frame your building momentum for it and then focus on the other bands on the label. I can understand the manufacturing angle for all the pre-order bundles and stuff but if the initial plan was to tour around an October release, with Max announcing what he announced fairly recently, what's the big "idea" here to gain more money?

 

I'd be very surprised if a leak is contained up until January.

 

Definitely. In a way I'm hoping it isn't. Wasn't one of the SA albums leaked months before too?

 

I heard AMD in January 2012

 

It was a march release so that can be crazy

 

I'd like to point out demos can sound drastically different from final products.

Well yea that’s a fair point too they may as well just release it then and be done with it.

 

Since they're not touring they probably have accurate numbers of where the sales number's going to be. It's not a priority for them. They're also probably pissed.

 

pink snot is okay but as usual max’s voice is the biggest obstacle to this being great

 

YES! YES! I don't get what he has started doing with his voice for the last few albums.

 

since anarchy its taken a noticable nose dive. he just sounds tuneless.

 

It's s mystery how he can release a song as good as pink snot and that train wreck of a solo song the same week...

 

Haha just posted the same thing. Im not even mad, I'm super impressed. The solo song is horrid and pink snot and daze could be top SA songs for me

 

Maybe it's my utter lack of expectations concerning Max's music lately, maybe it's the fact that I am up way too late and zooming on drugs, maybe it's the fact that I can't help but love what this band means to me but... this song is pretty awesome. 2/2 so far, really hope I keep feeling this way abt this record

I am really digging this track but this is also my biggest complaint with it

 

I think he sounds good in both of these, but I also have never really had a problem with his voice

 

Likewise. I think he sounds awful on IDTII though.
