It’s kind of surprising that it wasn’t posted on the news section that Max released his first “solo” song. I can’t support them taking $85k so that they can put a down payment down on a new house. I’ve loved this band a long time, but at this point I just want to Max to get healthier.
And that is where you and I differ, haha. These songs so far remind me of Hebrews but with an acoustic guitar backbone. I love it.
Pink Snot is a refreshing song after Daze. Musically, Max's albums always sound so layered. Even his lyrics are good. I'm just hoping the consistency is there.
The song reminds me of a cross between Vexed and Hebrews (the song). Hebrews vibe comes from the chorus.
2/2 for me. I like these short, to the point and acoustic based songs. I hope he releases more since it's a long way to January.
I don't know how Max says the shit he does on twitter and doesn't realize how shitty it is, he tries to be a better person and then makes really dumb teenage jokes
So Max Bemis has made a fantastic SA song and it DOES HAVE is a real boy vibes and Max sings better then in 15 years, cause wathever the hell these days I guess. (Fucking stoked)
I wish I liked the song as much as all of you. I just can’t get into it with the subject matter being so blatantly about drug use.
I listen to so much music about actual drug use that I'm not going to be phased by a song about a fake character using
I get that. But with the manifesto in mind it’s hard not to imagine that at least some of it is based on Max’s experiences.
Good song, and I'm happy he's still making music even if it's not under the Say Anything moniker. I think he'll always prove to be a divisive character for many though.
I'm still confused by the January release. The trajectory of Daze and now Pink Snot would still be perfect for an October release, would it not?
Agreed, I feel like a January release kills all of the momentum these singles are building. I hope its not one of those situations where half of the songs are released before the album comes out.
Man, I want to love the new song, but I just can't get into anything post-Hebrews, and even on Hebrews, there's only a couple songs I like on there. Less now than I did when the record came out. Is it a hot take to think that Anarchy, My Dear is actually better than I Don't Think It Is and these new singles? I know that a lot of people didn't like AMD when it came out, but So Good, Peace Out, Night's Song and The Stephen Hawking are fantastic
