The album reminds me of The Dark Knight because I was listening to it a lot from May - July 2018 when The Dark Knight hype was building. The film also reminds me of this album.

One of my favorite elements of IDOTG is all the guest spots. I wish that was more common in indie rock.

 

It’s good but I was only picking the top 5 from both discs. Baby Girl, I’m a Blur is another one I really like but didn’t list.

 

The first song I heard from Say Anything was Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too and I didn’t like it at all. I still don’t. It doesn’t help that the girl I liked at the time was seeing other guys and was the one constantly playing the song.

 

I remember watching the Anaheim performance, think it might have been someone from AP that managed them. It was when Ahh...Men was premiered and I remember being in awe of such a raw, acoustic performance.

 

Sucks its a bad memory. I'm sure he removed that from the setlist, too, because of the image it promoted.

 

Yeah, the reason I disliked it at first is because the lyrics are really juvenile and dumb. I don’t care for any of the added songs from IARB, though.

 

People who would remove the title track from IDOTG: why

 

Not sure I’m psyched to wait till January for 1-2 minute SA songs. Unless he’s adding more or redoing it, don’t think it’s a good move.

Also, I have a lot of thoughts of IDOTG that I can’t write right now but one thing I never understood were the single choices for that album. Terrible terrible choices.

 

Hmmm the single choices for that album seem really obvious/solid to me. Only other I song could really hear as a single is "No Soul"

 

I just listened to IDTII all the way through for the first time ( I never finished it originally because I hated it ) and I kinda fell in love with it??? Which confuses it because I remember vehemently hating every single piece of it when I first listened to some of it whenever it was released??? Miles better than Anarchy, My Dear, which I can remember literally two songs from.

 

"Tickle Me Red" is so good.

 

Funny thing: when SA was re-releasing IARB with ‘was a real boy,’ it was also set for Oct (2005), but then moved to Jan ‘06. Then to Feb ‘06...:

 

Gerard's part just seems super out of place and ruins an otherwise great song imo, but I can deal with it

 

Absolutely love Shiksa. IDOTG is my favorite SA album- I don't think there's a song I don't like, although there are some I like more than others.
