Didn’t see any opinion on music? Didn’t they say they haven’t even heard any of it? Didn’t they say they read the lyrics and “yikes” and were optimistic? Is it really weird to ask why based on that?
Man I just could not enjoy this show tonight, the band sounded great, Max sounded half assed and I just realized I have such a strong dislike for him that I didn't have fun at all. He was spouting nonsense between songs and it was unnerving.
Call me a kiss ass but I appreciate Jason as a site owner that participates as a fan as well that has opinions on music even if I don't always agree, ain't that the whole point of this darn place? Asking why ANYONE would think this album coming out has any redeeming qualities after listening to a few of these songs with these disgusting lyrics is an entirely fair question. I can't imagine anyone in my entire life actually listening to this and liking it. It's gross. Shit I've messaged Max and asked him to change the lyrics lol, and I wasn't kidding.
The lyrics are disgusting and cringe, yes, but I'm hoping that it at least sounds decent, instrumental wise. Hence the "Very cautiously", although I'm betting that the lyrics will indeed ruin the whole thing for me.
If those who already have the album actually stood against Max, they would leak it. Showing your true colors. Unbelievable really.
Resale tickets for tonight are 8 bucks. I’ve got a wedding but you honestly couldn’t pay me to check it out however 8 bucks to go see greet death and then leave and get a beer at itap sounds pretty nice. too bad I’m gone
You aren't kidding, I laughed out loud at: "The forbidden beat comes with DeLonge on the fucking cosign,” Bemis sings, referencing the Blink-182 frontman. This line doesn't even say anything, it means nothing, the writer is just showing they understand the reference of Tom Delonge being in a band called blink 182
Sarcasm aside, there’s a true nostalgic appreciation for the return of a band that comes in the midst of the return of a musical movement. …Is Committed is often self-referential and gives nods to the contemporaries of the genre, as on the driving hardcore anthem “On Cum.” I can't stop reading this
If you're enough of a masochist to want to listen to this, head on over to new album releases dot net.
Truly terrible. I don’t know how to spoiler tag (if that’s even thing on here…), so “spoilers” below: Everything we know about the family aside, I’m not sure how someone could listen to this and not feel weird about it. It’s so unhinged and manic (and yes… every song, from what I can tell from my first listen with no lyrics, mentions semen in some capacity). I get maybe this could’ve been cathartic after his recent hospitalization… but this truly should’ve stayed on the shelf. (This is overstepping and inappropriate, but:) For someone who is so concerned about the CPS… this won’t help his case at all. I hope for his and his family’s sake that he is, or is continuing to, get himself in a good place mentally.
Hoping that Psyche, Carrie and Are You arnt the only good things on this since I didn't mind any of those singles except the unnecessary ending to Psyche. The other 2 were uhh something
I see there being two groups of people in this thread: 1) People who abhor this 'album' 2) People who are afraid to say they actually like it because it's the closest SA has sounded like SA since s/t
“When the church invades, but I have grace. Wasted on a waste, got so much grace. I'll teach you taste when I fuck your face up. My dick is graceful. I have so much grace and I can't stand this place. And I've got the dick that's got so much grace. My dick is a graceful.” His dick has grace, guys.
