Man I had never heard of that guy until that John Nolan interview. Insufferable. BUT, thanks to that interview, I did learn that John basically saved us from Mark trying to make 152 eight tracks.
Don't think he said and I think it was early on. Mark was apparently like "we need a solid 8 tracks." And John was like "fuck that, we haven't released a record in like a decade, fans would be pissed."
From the gunz ig story - Watching the quick clip of Max playing woe in a nice button-up dress shirt/glasses/clean jeans and not vaping with a fucking tattered tank top just makes me think of what could have been in an alternate timeline. Damn.
This is what got me. I listened to "Psyche!" and was like, "oh, okay, I don't think I'd feel comfortable supporting this band anymore - but this song kind of reminds me of why I liked them, at least!" And then Vibrator came out...
It's just funny, as out as I am at this point I still catch wind of stuff from that sub where they're like "HE LAYS DOWN A LOT!!1" and I'm like...is this really where your grievances should lie? lol
Gunz guy hosted a Midtown concert I went to. He was insufferable. Most annoying act at a show I think I've ever seen. I have no opinion of him, but I hate him for souring that concert experience a tinge. Basically taking time to ruin emo classics and the crowd begging for him to stop being so annoying.
Vaping has a very weird stigma. I’d say the majority of people I know who have never smoked or vaped still believe that vaping is worse than cigarettes. Max has also pissed off most of his fanbase at this point though, so people are more likely to bring up their disgust with it and kinda just lump it into the pile of things they dislike about him.
Vaping is terrible and horrible for an individual yet has absolutely no bearing on the character or awesomeness/not awesomeness of a person. Better than cigarettes.
Yeah, I mean this is definitely it. I understand that most people are out on him/this band at this point, I understand the purpose of that sub (even if I think it fucking sucks), I just think it's supremely dumb to lump things like innocuous habits you disagree with in with legitimate criticisms and questionable behavior. Like, people feel cheated, they have a legitimate reason to be angry and talk about that, but making weird posts about someone's weight doesn't exactly make you look normal or favorable lol
Personally, I don't approve of cigarettes, acoustic smokes or vaping but, I, Vibrator. /andi'llseemywayout
Listened to an interview with Max on Spotify he really is trying to claim that this album is a parody and he wanted to be as obnoxious as possible. he also claims he’s writing new songs that are “not as overt” lmao
