Hearing Anthony Raneri beautifully sing one of my favorite Say Anything songs is not something I ever expected. God damn that's good. Max singing "They're Not Horses" is fine too. But maaaaaan, "Night's Song."
I'm kind of sad because I used to LOVE Say Anything... I still love the old stuff, but they lost it for me. This cover is also awfully weak. Credit to Bayside though - great cover. A band I have loved and continue to love. Max Bemis - take note.
I think Max needs to reclaim his mojo. It seems like the last few albums were either grandiose or chaotic. Which is fine, in moderation.
Ugh I'm so over Max. What does the guy have against recording a song production-wise that actually fucking sounds good. So annoying. Bad cover anyways though
Hebrews was awesome and totally holds up but max is definitely off his game now. It doesn't help that horses is not the best bayside song to begin with. Anthony absolutely killed it with his cover though.
I actually didn't mind the Say Anything one, it's not the best but i wouldn't say it's awful at all. The production is pretty bad but I think it works for the song. The Bayside one's good too.
