it's a small label, it's probably difficult to put up a bunch of money for more than 1000 at a time. interscope/vagrant aren't gonna do anything with it so
for sure I get that, I just wish they'd do this and say something like "1000 black copies available once limited variants sell out" or whatever.
I get the idea behind limited edition variants and such, but it's just such a major pain to not be able to get a simple vinyl. It's so silly. I just want to listen to the record on my player haha.
exactly, I hate that I have to set an alarm/refresh my browser starting at like 9:58 to get an emo album that came out in 2003 haha (but im going to do it)
Considering how fast the /400 variant of Boys Night Out's Trainwreck went on the same site, I am absolutely petrified of even attempting the /200 and then getting shut out of everything else...
The fact that In Reverie was one of those albums that came out and was maligned at the time is so bizarre. I truly don't understand it.
As someone who was initially confused after buying it at Tower Records on CD when it came out (lolz), I think context is everything on that. People were really just expecting to hear Stay What You Are Pt. II and instead got an emo Beatles record.
haha I feel like I was the only one of my friends who bought it who loved it. everyone else I knew didnt like it, but I think some have changed their opinion in recent years.
To be honest, I’m scared of missing the boat :/.. I wish everyone in here that will attempt to get one will do so because yer beautiful.
I like the /200, but I also like the /500 at least as much so will probably just go for that so there's less chance I miss out. I don't really care about rarity since I don't plan to resell.
I was about to turn 13 when In Reverie came out and wouldn't get into STD for another 2 years or so, but once I did eventually hear In Reverie I always liked it. Granted my appreciation of the record has grown since then, I would not have ranked it as high amongst their albums at age 15-16 as I would rank it today. But I never disliked it. Reading about how it was panned when it came out has always been strange to me. But I'm obviously glad it's since been given the love it deserves.
It’s my favorite Saves album. I’m just going to go for the non splatter version. I like it better and the quantity is at least higher.
