Remember when people (myself included) were complaining about Daybreak taking forever to come out? Well that only took 4 years. We’re on 5 now for a follow up from the S/T
I personally find the album to be lackluster but loved the trilogy that came before it (as well as the rest of their discography) so this wait is really starting to bum me out. I’ll be disappointed if they don’t announce anything by May/June.
There are some great songs on S/T though; Remember, Beyond All of Time, The Tide of our Times. Pretty sure it was also the last physical CD i purchased. The orange on the sleeve/booklet has faded to a peach colour in my car due to sun exposure haha.
Yeah same here. Every time I listen to it I just imagine how great it would be if Chris sounded like he did on SWYA. Instrumentally, parts of S/T reminds me of SWYA but the vocals take me out of it a little bit.
So I may be making this up but were there rumors of one last album and tour in 2018 before the band hangs it up? I know Chris has posted some pics from the studio over the last year...or two.
I would totally get it. It’s been over 20 years and we’ve had so much music from them/Chris. Just give us a great last album and a final tour that hits like every major city, haha.
I’m pretty much positive that Saves The Day is breaking up at this point. To echo what @popdisaster00 said- just give us a truly great farewell record with a long farewell tour please.
Saves the Day is one of those bands that don’t really to announce a break up in this day and age. They haven’t really continually released albums in almost ten years, so I’d be happy with them not making an official break-up announcement, giving them freedom to tour and release music when and as they please without making it a whole reunion type of thing
Actually, fuck it. Studying this weekend I listened to their entire discography through twice. Let's do this: In Reverie Through Being Cool Stay What You Are Saves the Day Sound the Alarm Daybreak Can't Slow Down Under the Boards
