Stay What You Are In Reverie Through Being Cool Sound The Alarm Can't Slow Down Under The Boards Daybreak Saves The Day
The first posting of it was from someone who runs a well known/reputable podcast. Can’t think of the name right now but remind me tomorrow.
Honestly as much as I love this band, and as much as it’s meant to me over the years, if Chris is ready to end it then I respect that. As long as we do get one more album, and hopefully it’s good, then that’s fine with me.
In some ways, them lasting this long is a bit insane and also very commendable. There have been so many incarnations of the band with Chris at the center, I'm fine with it ending now. I still think the band waned after Dave left, and it kind of just became a power-emo band of sorts to me. A band like STD probably shouldn't of even lasted longer than 3-4 albums, like Jawbreaker, but they did and remained a pillar of the scene.
Also isn’t Saves the Day 99% Chris? Unless he’s gonna stop making music full stop, this isn’t a huge thing to me.
I did this last time I realized it was this day/date combo, but happy "Wednesday the Third", everyone! Anybody interested in an In Reverie listening party this afternoon?
I've kind of been dwelling on the post about 2018 being saves the day's last year as a band. It's been hurtin, then it hurt more yesterday when I listened to nightingale, stay, then U. I mentioned saves no longer being a band to my girlfriend and she asked how many times I've seen them perform. Before I said, " um like 13 times," I thought, "doesn't matter, just hasn't been enough" needed to sorta vent because the users in this thread understand. ..
The band I saw the most was MCS. Probably 15 times, minimum. I know that feel. I’ve only seen STD 3 times but I’ll be sure to see them every future opportunity I get.
Hell yes. Through Being Cool is one of my favorite records ever and it makes me super happy to listen to. :D
The last time they were through here was on the TBC anniversary tour and I regret not going even though it's not my favorite of their albums :/
I’ve seen Andrew McMahon about 30 times at this point and will continue seeing him. When you love a band/artist, you want to support them!
12 wonderful shows with MCS, including the final, and it still wasn't enough. I will also continue to see All Time Low and Say Anythjng until they play their final shows, hopefully never. I've seen STD 4 times and I'm hoping I can add at least a couple, hopefully more if it really is their last run. But I'm also not going to assume any of its true until they confirm it. (Wishful thinking?)
a user on here writing they have it "on good authority" they're breaking up holds absolutely no weight for me. STD is forever until Chris tells us himself he's ending it.
I don't foresee a break up this year. I don't ever foresee a break up. The band is Conley. I think Chris is just enjoying spending time with his family. new music will come when it comes. haters gonna hate.
