is this really Buddy's voice? Seems extra nasally. (mind you, I haven't listened to Senses Fail in years)
Imagine Buddy submitting the song after working for hours in his studio just to have Chris upload something he recorded in the back of his tour van.
I mean, I can totally get why one wouldn't like it, but it's neither his song nor the worst of his career.
That Senses Fail song might be the worst song I've ever heard, and I love the original saves the day version.
As a vocal coach, buddy sings absolutely incorrect, trying to use two styles of "voices". He sings one through his nasal to sound/register higher pitched(especially whenever he ends singing notes with the eeee sound) which is totally a bad technique and very noticeable to me, i just cant.
I've done a lot of embarrassing and stupid shit in my life, but, thankfully, I've never recorded and released a cover of a Saves the Day song doing a Chris Conley impersonation.
I can't say I've ever intentionally listened to a Senses Fail song, but as an STD cover and someone doing a Chris impression, it was fine.
Both are bad for different reasons. Senses should have found a unique way to revamp a great song and the STD cover sounds like Chris recorded it in a prison cell or something.
