i wanna get that shirt+vinyl package, but the lowest shipping option is $16 and i don't know if i can swing that right now. might have to just get the LP and pick up a shirt at whatever show they play on the west coast

Not sure, it’s on Spotify tho. Played it yesterday. Holy the Beatles influence on that album was way more prominent than I remembered.

That's a shame. Absolutely their best work in my opinion.

That album is so vicious. Great album to work out to.

That drum beat in Bones during the “and they’ll drag me out the wasteland” section makes my brain hurt in the best possible way. I love those off beats.

Under The Boards and Daybreak are the only two albums I've never listened to.

I highly recommend listening to Sound the Alarm, Under the Boards, and Daybreak consecutively in that order.

for a half-second I thought maybe In Reverie not being on apple music rn might mean the band was getting the rights back from Dreamworks to do a reissue / new pressing which would be just soooooooo good

but nah it's still on spotify & I don't even know what the rights situation is w that album

I've been listening to the discography quite a bit since the announcement.

This is a confusing thing to say, but I think "Under The Boards" is my least favorite STD album (aside from Can't Slow Down) but somehow contains some of my favorite STD tracks. It's a confusing feeling.

I wouldn't argue against Tomorrow Too Late being the best song they've ever written.

I FEEL THAT!! Like it has Cant Stay The Same and Get Fucked Up and Like You Are No Other which are absolutely some top tracks, but as a whole album is so all over the place that I rank it better low in their discog

I need to get more familiar with Can't Slow Down and In Reverie, but honestly it's very difficult for me to rank the rest. At times I prefer the trilogy over anything else (and I think each album in the trilogy is better than the last), but then sometimes I just want to listen to TBC and SWYA. I think S/T is fine, but I never really went back to it much unfortunately. Hope you enjoyed my 15 second review of the Saves the Day discography.

for me Sound The Alarm is their most underrated record, that guy friggin rules. IR has definitely grown on me the most over time. Used to hate it, now I think its on par with some of their best stuff.

For me, I rank the trilogy as tied for first. I think it's a great cohesive concept that takes the listener to different stages of dealing with depression. I at least relate to those the best. In Reverie is hands down the best from a musicianship standpoint. The whole thing uses really obscure jazz chords that give it a unique sound. SWYA and TBC are quintessential emo/pop punk records with some incredible lyrics and insane catchiness, S/T is a fun power-pop record, and CSD is the foundation that lays the groundwork for all subsequent albums. I've tried ranking the records many times, but to me it's apples and oranges. Each record is perfect for a different mood/feeling, in my opinion.
