most of this kinda blew by me (mostly my fault, I listened to it while finishing some work), but wow 29 is really something. The 4th section is so good. I also liked Rosé a lot
on first listen, i don't love it, but there's definitely some jams. the closing track is the album highlight though, for sure. that was awesome! excited to listen to this all weekend and see if my opinions change/don't change.
When I heard the singles I really wasn't sure what I would think about this, but I like them a lot more in the context of the album. Well, "Rendezvous" was always great but "Side by Side" and "Kerouac & Cassady" work a lot better here.
This is clearly not going to be a lot of people's cup of tea, but I am completely here for this. I would say this is the most immediately catchy album they've made since...Stay What You Are, maybe?
So this album makes me feel like all that "they'll release this, tour, then break up" talk is pretty far off base.
I think it's so funny that there were rumors of their break up and then the first song on this literally goes "let's do this another 20 years!"
It's so weird to me that a lot of people (especially life-long StD fans) don't like this. This record seems way less divisive than their last four; it's just a fun good time.
My friends and I have been fans since Stay What You Are hit. In our group chat it’s pretty apparent that this album is only resonating with me.
My favorite tracks as of right now are... Saves the Day Suzuki (wish this was a bit longer) It's Such a Beautiful World Rose 29 (favorite hands down)
