Really digging this song. I love the Black Keys-esque lead and the solo/bridge part was amazing. My only beef with it is there's one part where Chris hits a high note and it sounds off. Also, wish these lyrics weren't so similar to Rendezvous.
I’m afraid the whole album is going to be chris kind of rambling about touring. My least favorite type of subject matter for lyrics.
Rendezvous grew on me like a motherfucker. That's gonna be a fun one live. I'm sure this one will too. Also: Saves the Day, Remo Drive, Mighty 2/25, Doug Fir, Portland I'm assuming they're announcing the second leg today.
both new songs are super weird but i kinda like this look for them? feeling like i'll enjoy this more than the s/t
possibly the weirdest thing about them is that chris' voice isn't suddenly different again after two records
I'd say 2/2 so far. Second one is definitely unique, interesting interplay between the guitars and bass—almost funky? Grabbed tickets to the 11/4 show at Warsaw in NYC. Been way too long since they came around and I am very excited.
Not a fan of either songs released. Pretty sure this won’t be for me. Bummer. At least I got the trilogy on vinyl to listen to (along with SWYA and TBC).
I think they're really doing some cool experimenting. I'm not sure it's always gonna work but we get the best out of this band when they go outside the box
Definitely a car commercial vibe. Change some of the lyrics around and I could totally see this being a Honda Element commercial.
