to no-one's surprise, Untitled (God) is the best of these and an absolute stunner. essential even if you're not checking all 5
I downloaded them and am sure I’ll get around to listening eventually. 5 albums is too many albums lol. It’s daunting like a deep discography that you’ve always meant to dive into
yeah I was pretty overwhelmed too. thankfully most of them aren't too long and the album titles kinda hint at what each one's about: Untitled (God) - follow-on from the previous two Untitleds but more upbeat and heartwarming. lotta lyrics about Jesus which might be a turnoff for some, but musically breathtaking. song with Little Simz & closer are two of the best of the year 11 - follow-on from 5 and 7, with the more kind of reggae lean that song on 10 had? closing run of tracks is pretty sublime Earth - this one's pretty wild. kind of like the more percussion-heavy stuff on Rise amplified to 100x. long segments are just pure drumming but it still goes off AIIR - sequel to AIR. I suck at describing classical stuff so I'll leave that to someone else, but if you liked AIR you'll like this Today & Tomorrow - the odd duck here, I honestly had to check if I downloaded the right album. it's like a jam band/psychedelic guitar-driven thing, there's a couple punk songs? I thought I was listening to King Gizz for a minute lol. honestly didn't like this but it's an interesting experiment
did these guys actually write a whole album just to perform it live once and never release it? insane lol
Oh nice, knowing it was one track helps make sense of why it flows together so well. Album is really cool, didn’t get a chance to check it out over the summer!
really diving into Acts of Faith now and it rules, feels like a great sampler of all their sounds in a nice brief runtime when I was colossally high on New Years Day I just ended up listening to Masterpiece on repeat to calm down, what a fucking song man. not sure they've ever topped it
