My friend left for NY the other day to see her boyfriend and she told me that she managed to get tickets to Late Night with Stephen Colbert. I was like oh no way that's awesome, who's on it?

She's like "Matthew McConaughey!! Woo! And then some girl named Vanessa? Idk who she is"

Anyway so we're not friends anymore

 

Damn Bobby too? Is this the biggest cast change between seasons in a while ?

 

He announced he was leaving before the season was over

 

I imagine if they're making changes to the cast (hires/fires) it would have to be in the next week or so. Season starts in a bout 2 months but that summer Weekend Update show starts pretty soon

 

so do you all think that with the amount of people they left this year they'll give melissa another shot this season?

 

I'd be surprised if they didn't. I could see her filling the Vanessa role, along with her impressions

 

FYI Weekend Update Summer Edition starts tonight at 9:00.

My DVR cut off in the middle of Kenan's segment because of stupid ass football. Anything after that worth seeking out?

 

The Lavar Ball segment was fantastic.

 

So awesome to see Hader last night!

 

Keenan was so great. I've rewatched that Ball bit a few times now.

 

I hear Katie Rich is back at SNL

These weekend update things pretty much exclusively utilize my least favorite cast members from the last two decades haha

 

Any word who is hosting the premiere?

 

Usually it's someone who was in a hit movie over the summer, so... Mark Rylance? Seriously though I wouldn't be surprised if its Tom Holland or Gal Gadot

 

The Neil Degrasse Tyson bit killed me

 

Holland would be fun. I'd like to see Chris Pine but he just did it.

 

Gal Gadot has been my prediction for like a month now
