I think the key for him is just doing a Tracy Morgan thing of just playing similar exaggerated versions of himself every single sketch.

I know it's mostly just him relaying a story but I genuinely think Mulaney is one of the funniest people alive

 

I would watch that every day and twice on Sunday. You can even throw Kristen in there too.

I love Bowen but him saying he never felt "central to the show" is a perfect example of how much of a vacuum it must feel like to be on SNL, it felt like he was in every single sketch at one point

 

I got fooled too but read the full quote. He was saying how happy he was to have such a big role on the show while being his weird self and not having to play those vanilla roles or be the main guy. It was twisted in the headlines.

 

Damn lol I'm usually good at not falling for shit like that too...
