Literally longest I have ever had to wait to watch a new SNL after its airing Big respect for Will Ferrell for playing Epstein with no problem lol, great cold open Holy shit the Chad Smith bit is genius, monologue kind of lost some steam just naming McCartney songs but great before that Surgery sketch was good, didn't overstay its welcome Bobbin's Sacrifice was fun, great production value Cast List was a great use of the whole cast, felt super balanced for most of them. Molly Shannon will also immediately boost anything she's in McCartney song was pleasant enough, I'm guessing we might get a classic for the second performance Really great WU, Mr. On Blast might become an all-time character and the joke swap is literally always good Mechanic was eh, feel like it wouldn't have made the show if McCartney's cameo wasn't there Did not expect Wings Parents sketch really was not great beyond the initial reveal Finales of this show always feel a little special, but admittedly the second half of this one was not as good as the first. Ferrell brought it as always though
Re-watching the Cast List sketch tonight and I noticed after Will was spotted in the Wicked poster behind that wall, the poster cutout was put back in its place but as Will came through the door again and it closed behind him, the poster cutout fell down and quickly placed back by someone behind the scenes. Got a laugh out of me.
Is there a pool for who gets kicked off first? Is it multiple cast members? How about who leaves first on their own volition ?
yeah most of the cutch sketches were better, I think them and some that aired were too long though and each needed cut down by like a minute.
Her expressions... Her movements, it's got to be a lot of ad-libbing, right? How she eggs Jost on, over and over....
They did a good job of building up the new cast this season. Honestly only real weak link I can see is Tommy Brennan. I thought it was Kam at first but I feel like towards the end of the season they started to figure out how to use him effectively.
