Was that Noel Wells singing backup for the first song? I can’t find anything online yet about it but that person looked exactly like her.
It’s cool seeing the show be so on board for Dismukes’ conceptual sketches. It’s a rare case where he is an excellent writer who gets to act as the lead in his own sketches, even though there are probably several other cast members who are more dynamic sketch actors who could elevate the performance by playing the lead characters. It’s like he was a writer who got a golden ticket to be a lead performer and act out his own sketches. I bet there are a ton of SNL writers who are performers who wish they were in his shoes.
The show is usually so overly precious about who gets to be a cast member and who gets air time, so it’s cool that a normal dude who is funny and a great writer gets to be one of the top dudes on the show.
Cam Paterson has to be a one and done right? He’s barely been in anything and when he is he’s very bad.
Yeah, I forgot he was even in the cast. A total misfire. I feel like he must not have come with any characters and just the buzz of being on Kill Tony.
