Amy really committed to the emo sketch but the writing let it down a bit for me

 

If we don’t get a Maya Rudolph appearance, I’ll be sad

 

some people were too tough on last week's premiere, this has been much worse

 

Dream job is to be a guy who works at SNL that just comes up with names for sketch characters like Leonard Margarita

 

Composer sketch was alright. I hate to add to the internet hate but I really don't think Jane is a good actress at all

Good but not great episode. Definitely better than the premiere

 

i disagree this episode was better than the first by far

 

I thought this was as bad as the first show. Dismukes is not a Hader/Bennett glue guy and Yang is not a Wiig/McKinnon powerhouse lead performer. Fineman still hasn’t improved upon the initial spark of her first season and has IMO regressed as an impressionist and comedian on the show. Why is Sherman not doing her edgy and weird stuff? Please let the new people take over and remake the show and see if sketches can feel surprising and new. Mikey Day, I do give props to as he seems to be happy being a supporting player and, in that position, he’s perfect.

 

I’ll watch later on but looks like mixed reviews with some special walk ins so that’s nice.

I saw the song with Charlie xcx , but not impressed with the song. Not for me though

I had high hopes for Amy so we will see

 

If it's any consolation, it was refreshing to see Amy be so inclusive with the whole cast and having them be more involved with this episode as opposed to last week being the Marcello / Bad Bunny show

 

I love that the Hunting Wives sketch caused this very specific joke to be created lol

 

Rewatching the Emo Mom sketch and caught JAJ eating a big baking dish full of spaghetti throughout the scene

I think this is the first time in a long time that I had no idea who a musical guest was. I had never heard of Olivia Dean before this.

 

Same except both her and Sombr, which sounds more like a dating app for people with depression

 

she's a British R&B singer who's opening for Sabrina

 

I am so far gone with being hip to what the kids are listening to nowadays. SNL is really the only way I hear about these artists when they perform. I only know Brandi Carlile because she's been on a few times already. I never knew who Bad Bunny, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter were until they appeared on SNL.
