Might not be your vibe since it’s on the same plane as something like Lisa Gilroy. Honestly wonder how she’ll translate to SNL, especially without her comedy/real-life partner.
I could see an Amy Poehler-ish vibe if she is more herself and a Kate McKinnon mashup vibe if she wants to commit to being weird characters who are absent behind the eyes.
She’s also a really good singer, think she’ll show more range than the persona she’s being doing on her tik tok.
Damn I am so out of the loop on comedy these days, the only new cast member I'm familiar with is Ben lol (who I am very excited to see expand his horizons on the show) It's always exciting when there's a big cast turnaround like this though. I actually like Jost and Che unlike most of this thread but I think it's time for them to move on which doesn't seem to be happening
Dana Carvey was talking on his podcast about Heidi and leaving, and hinted that it was not her choice, but she was 'let go'...
Carvey and Spade watching a clip of each new cast member and having no idea what to make of Jeremy’s Dropout clip was funny.
Wasn't the shakeup I was expecting. Most of the long overdue to move on cast are still there, multiple fresh young castmembers with potential cut, Weekend Update unchanged, PDD broken up. Doesn't feel like the "reinvention" that Lorne pitched it as.
If this season is the same main players as last year, minus Heidi, and then sporadic underuse of 5 new people…it’s gonna be a long season.
Yeah I'm not happy with that "shakeup" at all. Heidi had an amazing run and I'm not upset that she's gone, and as much as I liked Emil and Devon it makes sense to let them go I guess, but when Longfellow got the boot I really thought they were going to cut more but... that was it? Why the fuck was he cut when literally everyone else besides those few I named are coming back, and then with five new people on top of that? Really feels like he got fucked over by Jost and Che deciding not to leave
