Yeah, that feels totally unexpected. If it’s the same ol stuff with new featured players then good lord.

 

I feel like not putting him in a lot of stuff last season and then giving him the boot is unfair. At least let him showcase his talents and then decide from there.

 

I still feel like Bowen could be announced as leaving, too. Just a hunch I get from listening to Las Cultch.

 

I feel like Bowen has just enough going on outside the show he could leave and still do well for himself, same with Chloe. The other, lesser profile cast members? Not so much. I hope they all end up being successful with other projects!

 

There's definitely got to be some longer tenured cast members leaving. It seems like they're announcing one a day to give each cast member their moment to announce it (if they choose). I'm guessing they're doing the less tenured cast first and we'll start getting the others soon. I feel like Bowen, Mikey, Heidi, and maybe Chloe and Ego all could be ready to say goodbye.

I think Ego is probably there for a couple more years, especially with Carl Tart being on the writing staff, since they’ve proven to be a pretty solid comedy team.

 

I have nothing against Jane Wickline and find her TikTok stuff to be pretty funny, but it would be insane for them to cut all these people and keep her.

I think anyone that was featured in one of those SNL integrated ads last year (Kenan, Sarah, Marcello, Bowen) is probably pretty safe.

"Shaking things up" by losing a lot of the newer cast members seems... weird. It'll put them in even more of a bind when more established folks like Bowen leave.

 

Well here’s some crazy news that will surely disappoint some of you (assuming this means PDD is done if true).

Rumor: SNL Upping Please Don’t Destroy Member to Main Cast - LateNighter

According to LateNighter one member of PDD is being added to the main cast, another is joining the writing staff and the third member is leaving the show completely (who is doing what is not stated).

Edit: Apparently the speculation is Ben Marshall is joining the cast per lower down in the above article.

 

Ben Marshall makes sense, if it’s him.

 

I just saw them on Monday and they didn’t tell me!

 

Longfellow leaving really fuckin' sucks. I really hope Colin and Che are done. Their joke delivery is piss poor and they make Jimmy Fallon look like Daniel Day Lewis.
