Kind of fell off a cliff after WU for me but very strong first half. Agreed that Quinta is a great host

I thought the show was ok, I watched the sketches the next day on youtube,

The WU news jokes were teetering on that line.... They got away with a bit.

Next week should be good, with Walton, and then ScaJo (and Jost) should be entertaining. WU should be on target, for sure... Che will have a lot to say.

I wish they had better music selections (that catered to me) but thats ok. Pick the ones that cater to the masses, to who watches the show....

 

We got our annual Che saying he is leaving announcement.

If Che and Jost actually do leave, what does everyone think of the prevalent idea (at least on the SNL subreddit) that Longfellow should be the next anchor of Weekend Update? Agree or disagree?

 

He would be great on Update - he’s got a great deadpan which suits the format well. Lorne seems to be a creature of habit though and I could see him wanting to maintain the loose feel it’s morphed into under Jost and Che

Always thought Ego would be great as an achor too. Ashley Padilla would probably crush it. I’d be sad to lose either of them in sketches though

 

Longfellow would probably be good but I’m super down to have them just do a complete unknown person too
