I mean they have at least a few a year that I enjoy.

 

Whenever they book Foo Fighters or the Strokes or Jack White, I'm stoked. But that's about it for rock acts that they book at this point. The last time I was stoked about a band I followed since the beginning was probably Fun when they played in 2012, similar to Bleachers in 2022, but Jack had been so Taylor Swift-ified by that point it wasn't as exciting.

 

OK I went back the last 8 years and literally Noah Kahan and Kendrick were quite literally the only two that I looked forward to. I guess I could add the Foo Fighters too, but that’s such a generic rock pick at this point.

 

Chappell roan, mk.gee, vampire weekend, Sabrina carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, lil yachty, the 1975, SZA, Kendrick Lamar, Japanese breakfast, post Malone, young thug, Halsey

 

they’ve been riskier with hosts so i don’t mind it if they play it safe a bit with musical guests even if they aren’t my favorite choices ever

 

Yeah I have no idea why SNL is so hellbent on single-handedly keeping Arcade Fire's career alive lol

All three hosts are pretty exciting though. Lots of speculation online that Scarlett hosting could be Jost's final episode
