I feel like they absolutely did not have time for that sketch and it was rushed as hell

That was actually an amazing episode until it took a nosedive after the second musical performance. Still one of the best of the season so far

 

liked this one tonight. really cool surprise

 

Good ep. Paul was great.

Ehhhh. Show has been mostly good this year.

 

I do wish they would leave actual current pop culture references and premises out of everything besides Update and the cold open. But that post definitely makes it sound like a much worse issue than it is. For all the criticism SNL deserves, too much of it comes from people who clearly don’t actually watch the show

 

My one complaint is lack of good recurring characters. They reuse sketches a lot and usually too soon or too often but no good recurring characters.

 

too close to the people who idolize the era when people like Chevy and Belushi were coked up assholes for my taste

 

At its heart, it’s still an archaic, competitive system run by an old man who clearly plays favorites. One sketch can be the difference between being Marcello in a Verizon ad or forgotten like Aristotle Athari. It’s just the cast is seemingly nicer and not strung out. I feel like we see the same exact complaint in wrestling.

Didn’t know he was dating her. Only knew he dated Phoebe.

 

Don’t think they’ve gone public with it like on social media, but he’s been spotted with her a lot and I’m pretty sure there’s been photos of them holding hands and stuff.

 

Every character who is the weird one in a sketch should have a very distinct wig and one unique bizarre accessory. Also a wild name. And then they can just do their sketch as written but now they have a Halloween costume about it.

 

Just me, and the wife, but we had a tough time watching a lot of the sketches. Maybe its a generation thing. We liked church chat. And didnt finish a lot of sketches....
