How Saturday Night Live became a TV phenomenon – but then lost its way

 

I did find episode 1 a bit ho hum. I liked the cold open, and yeah - I felt it went downhill a bit....

The John Mulaney show should/will be good. If Tom Hanks comes back for Halloween, that will be funny.

But for me, a host willing to go 'all-in' or better writing is what is needed.

 

I feel like every season premiere sucks? I’m not worried about it.

I feel like they should have had a return host for the premiere. Jean Smart did alright, don't get me wrong, but starting with a bang instead of a whimper is not what it needed.

 

I liked jellyroll when he was a rapper tbh. But whatever this is though.

was the last opener really 10+ minutes? figured it only felt like that

 

Ehh... I admittedly haven't seen much Bargatze but that didn't really do much for me

 

I normally like him but that was pretty not great

 

LOVE Nate but…that was not good

 

Love Nate and thought that was decent. Not his best.
