Yeah easily worst of the season so far. Not necessarily Elordi's fault, although maybe they wrote so many "he's so hot" sketches because he didn't have the comedy chops for weirder stuff?
Not really any more bummed by that aspect than I normally am when they do it. Definitely was not as egregious as that one with Regé-Jean Page. It’s pretty bad whenever Momoa hosts too. But yeah, not a great outing this week. Nothing I hated but it was pretty forgettable
This whole season has been rough tbh and tonight did nothing to abate that feeling. I know it’s rebuilding and whatnot, plus the 50th is coming up, so I’m hoping the ship can turn around in the next season or two!
Yeah, something’s felt very off this season. They’ve definitely had some bangers, but also maybe more duds than usual. Also, gonna sound like an old man, but I truly hate the Fallon/Corden-ization of the applause, where the audience is losing their mind clapping when Bowen or Sarah Sherman show up (glad they made a joke of it). Like, they’re part of the cast. It’s not like some insane cameo or soemthing.
Reminds me of when Michael Richards and Jaleel White’s respective breakout characters and at their peak, HUGE audience applause upon their first appearance in an episode but you know they are regulars on the show
I really only liked the bowling sketch. Was super bummed that the whole episode was just skits about Elordi being tall and handsome. Definitely gonna forget this episode quickly.
Can't believe they cut this lol Bowling was good though and I was worried with the garrett from hinge sketch returning they would ruin it as always but it wasn't bad
