Decent monologue. Not excited for Chapelle. The best thing I have to say about this season so far is that the screen time is more equitable than it has been in decades. Also Cecily’s trucker was great.
Worst episode in recent memory, I don’t think a single sketch landed for me. Even Steve Lacy was a little underwhelming
Yeah worst episode in years. I don’t think I even half chuckled once. And Amy gets hate because she’s an unfunny POS hack. But Chapelle is way worse. Fuck him coming back.
I said this in the Accountability thread but Daniel Radcliffe and Weird Al were right there… Also Cate Blanchett is on an Oscar campaign, Timothee has a new movie coming out, Paul Mescal is a rising star in an acclaimed movie, and as someone else mentioned Quinta is prone to host and would have been better over Chappelle.
Daniel and Weird Al have been doing press all week. No way they would have time to do SNL, no matter how much that would rule.
That is crazy. SNL’s booking is not great. Like, I hate to dogpile, but Amy Schumer has done nothing to deserve a hosting spot in 2022.
I feel like there were certainly much worse episodes in the last few years. this one was mostly just there
Feels like its a small club, they get the same group of comedians and actors to keep coming back and rarely look to bring in new people. They're friends with Chapelle and Schumer so they can just host if they feel like it without really having any reason to. Its always a culture problem.
I watched that Big Penis Therapy thing and it wasn't the slightest bit funny. Didn't feel an urge to check anything else out from Amy's week
Don’t understand how any of the cast can say their allies and yet continually have no issue working with Chappelle. Like really Bowen?
