There was another one from the 70's where Steve Martin was a medieval barber and his solution to every issue someone came in with was a blood letting. Couldn't find that specific one online (there were a couple w/ that character) but that one got pretty messy. Overall, I think all the new cast members seem pretty solid, but holy shit- Marcello knocked it out of the park like night. He made me laugh almost as hard as I did when Willow put her guitar through the paper tv screen.
Just finished the newest episode, very interesting watch. I’m not sure I can remember an episode that was so clearly Old SNL vs. New SNL. Like I mentally checked out for the 9000th game show sketch and 5000th news sketch, but the PDD Sketch was fun, the New cast members video was fun, and Sarah Sherman getting eyeball replacement was fun! Michael Longfellow is basically a full cast member already and the Marcello Weekend Update bit was great, but wow does this version of Update feel so outdated!
Caught up on the season. I like the new cast members so far. Loved this "Kill Putin" sketch will Molly. Longfellow and Hernandez have both had good WU bits. Walker hasn't gotten much play yet, his expressions remind me so much of Pete Davidson. They have the same "I'm fighting to hold back laughter" grin. Both episodes have been solid. I actually kind of liked the Gleeson monologue. It wasn't all that funny, but it was charming. The best bit in the season has been Kenan as Hershel Walker. I was absolutely dying.
very weird to do that after Pete left haha, I don't know if they're friends but it feels like they probably are
