I was just watching Abbott Elementary and I just realized we're probably going to get Quinta hosting for the first time this season, and now i'excited.
the three dudes have been filming their movie in my neighborhood this month and i’ve driven by like five times, gotta peep it to see my SUV in like three screens
On the Smartless podcast Kenan said he is signed on until the 50th season and has no interest in ever leaving anytime soon and also wants Lorne’s job when he retires and thinks he is third in line to get the job. Would Kenan be a good Lorne?
It has to be someone with the experience of running a show like that or long time producing experience. Realistically, it will probably go to Steve Higgins but I've heard Seth Meyers and Tina Fey's name thrown around too.
it should die with Lorne, anyone talking about working on SNL it's like yeah we didn't sleep for 3 days and had to do Belushi coke but we came up with Brian Fellows
It’s died WITH Lorne multiple times and stayed on air. This show is at it’s best when it doesn’t play it safe, and it’s a shame that they just shoot for that one viral sketch per week. There’s plenty of talent out there to keep this show fresh year after year.
I say give to Seth. He’ll be doing Late Night for more than a decade and should pass the baton on to someone else (cough Amber Ruffin cough). Since I assume Fallon will be doing The Tonight Show forever, that won’t be an option and he seems like the type that would shake things up and not be so enamored with tradition, like staying up all night writing and the staff basically torturing themselves to make it to Saturday.
Or them actually rehearsing a few times before Saturday night. I always think of that Jason Alexander clip.
Everyone says Tina but I do think she would do a great job, as would Seth. But yeah I'm guessing it'll be Higgins, and he deserves it
Crazy that people are already talking about the 50th in 3 years, it feels like the 40th just happened. I wonder if they'll do another special.
They absolutely will since it will likely be the last time the first couple of casts will be in a room together for any reason.
