Okay that was actually a pretty fitting weird ass goodbye for Kyle lmao. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does next. I think it's kinda cool how they subtly pointed out how long him, Kate and Aidy were all there

pretty good finale for one of the best seasons i can recall them having

 

with all these exits, i'm curious who else could be going later, and who's getting bumped up

 

Damn Kyle looked so sad at the end.

 

There's always some kind of special atmosphere to the finales of this show, especially when so many people are leaving. I actually think this was the best job the show has ever done at sending off cast members since I started watching, it felt like they all got a nice moment. Naturally on an episode like this the host will take a backseat but Natasha also did a really great job with what she had. Probably my favorite episode of the season, and agree that this was a noticeably really good one

 

Because I'm a nerd for this show that basically treats it like a sport I keep a running ranking of each episode of the season lol, here's what I've got (it's not me ranking the quality of the host, it's the episode they hosted)

Whose is gonna be the first leaving this season to host? Both Davidson and McKinnon have movies coming out next year so one of them is gonna.

 

McKinnon will be back next year as a host doing the alien abduction sketch again

 

NGL "Arby's we have the pee pee shakes" had me crying

 

lol that was pretty good

 

i knew he was gonna cameo when they showed a backwards e in “lorne”

 

Was afraid they were gonna give Kate a big, cringy goodbye like they did Kristen Wiig. As others said, was nice that everyone got their own farewell.

 

I wish Che and Jost gave each other jokes to tell, that’s always funny.

 

i thought that was their end of the calendar year bit

 

ahh maybe yeah

 

you mean the winter finale? i think that's it, too

 

that was the one where everyone got Covid besides Paul Rudd so they didn't do it

 

Also, unless they give Aristotle a mulligan because of the overcrowded cast, I don’t see him coming back next year

 

I don't see him coming back either. It really sucks. He had so much potential too. He was given some cool stuff the first half of the year then Kate came back and he was stuck with background roles.

 

Good finale. Kinda strange to think that the alien abduction lady is really Kate’s most popular original character but I kinda forget that basically all of her other ones are just impressions. Not a surprise she went out on that note. Wish Kyle had a better send off in place of that weird tickling dead guy sketch but what can ya do. Natasha and JB were both great

 

Kyle got the short end, IMO. A shame really.
