I had to look it up but jfc there are 21 total credited players this season. It’s well known Lorne has all writers/performers compete against each other during the week to pitch and write sketches so of course people are gonna get drowned out in the mix.

To put it in perspective, growing up and watching the late 1980s seasons in syndication, the cast was around 9-10 people.

 

The original cast was only 7!

However, part of me sorta thinks that they're making it that big for COVID because 5-6 people a week could be wiped out with little warning.

Doesn't mean we need 21 cast members though.

 

I think it’s so the opening credits are so long that it wipes out the need for one more sketch every night!

 

I can't even remember a single sketch Melissa has been in recently. She's so good

Also odd there hasn't been any PDD lately

 

I believe they've run the same PDD sketch on the last two dress rehearsals, only to cut it for live.

 

Sad.
