Pretty run of the mill episode after the best run of episodes SNL has had in years. Simu was solid though
Definitely pretty meh overall. I agree that they really underused Simu's talent and enthusiasm. But I enjoyed enough of the highs tonight
Does anyone else not really miss Kate? Like she's great, she makes me laugh but feel like at this point there's already enough going on with the rest of the cast's offerings. Idk maybe I'll be eating my words when she returns but *shrug emoji*
Agreed. I keep forgetting she's even still a cast member, I don't mind her absence at all. I've always found her a little overrated though to be fair
Simu COULD have been great on this show, had they used him better... He was very good in the sketches he was in. The cake one always makes me laugh. Pete at the end of it, cracking, was funny. Karaoke sketch worked too. PDD hasnt been mentioned. Was it on, or cut for time? I saw it on the SNL website. It was good. Wasnt into 911 call but did like dog head. :)
Still watching but fucking loved the dog sketch just because the dog was so cute and looks like mine.
The food network sketch really reminds me of SNL circa 2010 where like 90% of recurring sketches were almost beat for beat the same every single time without even a single attempt at variation
This episode was nowhere near as bad as the Kardashian episode, one of the worst of the last several years.
My FB memories popped up that on this day in 2015 I went to the SNL exhibition in NYC (I think it was part of their 40th anniversary occasion and I took some pics) Recreation of Lorne’s desk: Wayne’s World set and costumes: Turd Ferguson: Fake commercial props: Laser Cats: Steve Martin’s King Tut: Matt Foley:
