Had to start the episode late Cold open was great, Austin's Trump is basically what put him on the map and this was a fantastic debut of it on the show Another charming monologue, I'm really liking how they're doing these this season Cable Cancellation was fantastic, great escalation. Reminded me heavily of when I tried to cancel Sirius XM a few months ago lol The Heist was funny, really good premise. Redd is so good Dionne Warwick Show hits every single time, and the real Dionne Warwick was amazing. Ego is definitely the future of this show (along with Bowen and Chloe and seemingly JAJ) Men's Room was another great one. Big night for Dismukes, and I love the fact that Tracy Morgan probably just sat in there for the whole sketch. Weird ending though, I wonder if they thought it was going to end but it didn't so they just improvised jumping around The Jockey was just the right kind of stupid. Any use of ska is fine with me Damn, Cecily's bit during Update was great. I love her Wake Up Rhode Island was a good spin on the typical local news sketch I'm really not an Ed Sheeran fan but I actually really like this second song I'm really liking Please Don't Destroy I think this was the strongest episode of the season so far. I've always really liked Kieran Culkin and he killed this. There still hasn't been a weak episode all season, this writing team is incredibly promising
Agreed. Thought it was pretty strong. I feel like that should be the end of the Dionne Warwick sketch. The premise has worn pretty thin, but the cameo was enough to justify it.
I fell asleep last night so I’m just watching this now but did they do anything with “Sheeran Culkin” since Ed and Kieran were both there last night? Feel like there would’ve been something there.
It is more upsetting to me than it should be that the WU bit implies the prequel to Friday would be called Thursday, and not Last Friday Great episode though
I loved watching the audience react to James Austin Johnson’s impersonation of Trump in real time. You can tell there’s some trepidation at first when they realize it’s not Baldwin, but then he’s so thoroughly sold them on the performance that by the time he gets to that second “60 second rundown” the audience is laughing and cheering in anticipation because they’re all in.
JAJ’s Trump is actually good so it was understandable the audience didn’t laugh much at it at first lol
I was over at a friends’ gathering and none of them knew about JAJ. They went from “Who’s this weirdo?” to “Holy shit! “ pretty quick.
Good episode. JAJ >>>>> Baldwin's trump for sure. The Jockey sketch was so ridiculous I couldn't help but love it.
this was a great one. would be one of the standouts were any of the previous few seasons and might be one here too
