I've gotta say, going into the first break of the season we're off to a REALLY good start. Even the Kardashian episode was pretty solid. I have a really good feeling about this season
snl would have a way better reputation for the last however many years if the bulk of the last decade-plus of these episodes were at least 10% as funny
Interesting that there were cut WU bits, that's pretty rare. The Guy Who Bought a Boat character has basically devolved into quick sexual wordplay but it's great and Moffat nails it. Unfortunately the Melissa bit wasn't great
... I enjoy both of them, but had a tough time with Melissas bit.... And Alex's character was funny at first, for a few jokes, and then, well..... He does it well. He plays 'smarmy' well.
I love any Alex Moffat WU character. I do wonder how much success he'll have whenever he leaves SNL because I've only seen him in sketches. But he's always dependable on the show.
