I didn’t know until I read the first SNL oral history book that he was fired for making too many OJ Simpson jokes (which were hilarious). Turns out NBC President Don Ohlmeyer was good friends with OJ

 

I watch his Correspondent's Dinner speech at least once a year

So, we're 10 days from the premiere, and still don't know the host/musical guest?

Lorne Michaels teases Jason Sudeikis' return to 'SNL': He'll be 'coming back soon'

 

Sudeikis is a no brainer.

 

He's definitely going to be hosting this season, but Sudeikis does live in New York so it's conceivable they could also bring him back to be Biden (even though the energy he has as Biden is really tailored for 2008-2016 Biden rather than current Biden).

If Jason Sudekis is the guest host, who would be the musical guest guesses for week 1?

My sad and lonely guess would be Drake.

 

Yeah, I'd imagine Drake and Lil Nas X are shoe-ins for early season. Maybe Kacey, maybe Halsey, maybe Lorde.
