I really love how many standups have already hosted this season, despite people's feelings on some of them
Hopefully they capitalize on this idea when season 2 of Ted Lasso comes out. I gotta imagine this show gets some Golden Globes buzz next month.
I don't envy the writers this week. Of course they need to come up with election skits, but they're hard to write and finalize when things still aren't confirmed and could theoretically change between now and Saturday.
Sudeikis is doing a virtual fundraiser for a prosthetic leg replacement drive next Saturday in Kansas City. So he definitely won't be doing it then.
Possibly! It's him, Will Forte and Fred Armisen, among others. Apparently Ted Lasso is gonna make an appearance. It's a great live show every year. It's too bad it won't be onstage this year. But I'm glad they're doing it because it's for a great cause.
We're still gonna have at least two months of Baldwin while Trump's in office. I'm interested to see who they make Biden and Kamala. They can't keep Carrey onboard long-term, but Maya's shown interest in coming back full time (which would be a terrible decision for the rest of the cast).
I'm going back and watching Will Forte stuff, I didn't really start loving him til Tim and Eric got me really into him, he had some great stuff. That cast was crazy at that time huh?
In retrospect, that cast definitely is up there with the first cast, Myers/Carvey/Farley, and Ferrell/Fey/Gasteyer
And back in the day, people were saying that cast was nothing compared to the Will Ferrell years, who people said at the time was nothing compared to the Farley/Sandler years, etc. etc.
Oh for sure! The show always recontextualizes itself when you forget all the bad stuff 7-8 years later
Mikey or Alex I imagine, and it should be Ego but given their track record it could be Melissa Maya lives in LA right not sure she can do it forever
