That was oddly beautiful

 

It's been alright, but not great.

 

Needs more BriTANick.

 

I've liked this week's more than last week's but neither episode has been very good

 

Stranger Things made me LOL

 

Stranger Things BTS again could have been punched up but I enjoyed the impressions

 

Okay that Winona Ryder was pretty good

 

One of the biggest problems with this ep is these skits have no endings

 

This is one of the worst songs. It's white reggae at its worst.

 

I wish we got like Cecily or Aidy as Barb or something. We needed Barb in that skit big time.

That was honestly the best skit of the night though probably.

 

Biggest mistake they made was picking the two songs Tyler plays bass on live instead of picking a song where he can move around and be energetic around the stage like he is on Heavy Dirty Soul or Tear in my Heart.

Not that it would've saved it for the people who don't enjoy the band, but it would more approximate their stage performance usually.

This Ride performance was especially weak from Tyler vocally too.

 

I like TOP a lot but I don't feel like they represented how good they can be live very well tonight, it was honestly kind of boring. Agree that Tyler didn't do well singing Ride either

Also why did they have that orchestra in the back pretending to play things

 

A Degree of Valor grew on me as it went on

 

What a bust - minus the monologue and maybe 1 or 2 good sketches. Taking the good with the bad, that's what makes this show though.

Need more Bobby next week, please.

 

No Alec in the closing again.

 

I will never get over how amazing Tina's hair is.

Also this episode was mostly meh.

 

A Degree of Valor was a slow burn but ultimately worth it

Looked like you could lip read Lin saying "what the f was that?

 

Needed more Lin, he's just so delightful

I never listened to 21 pilots but they were pretty boring, that drummer was putting so much energy into super simple drumming. They were goofs.

 

Right? They all felt about a minute too short.

 

Bad music, step down from the premiere, but I still love this season already and think this episode was strong. The shows taking chances and pulling no punches. It's awesome. They're mouthy this year, it's so refreshing.

 

these three newbies are great. Kenan seems refreshed, Kate/Cecily are rocking it, Leslie is comfortable, WU is more in sync than ever, everybody just seems so confident. Fuck, I don't know, even when everything doesn't hit, they all just feel like they're having fun, which matters as much to me.

 

So far these first two episodes I already get a Nasim Pedrad vibe when I see Melissa Villaseñor in some sketches.

 

Had the pleasure of being in the audience last night...I feel like it was a dream. Lin, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, tøp...all during election season?
