i mean that video IS hilarious and i can totally see a parody of it being great

BUT.... man..that's obscure as hell.

 

Paul Rudd is one of the funniest people ever to me and he's always great on this show so I'm super excited


Also I'm sure DJ Khaled will bring out some good guests so his appearance should be fine

I always say that I Love You, Man is the most underrated comedy of that Apatow gang era. It’s so damn good.

That’s the best one from that era for sure. But ILYM is most underrated.

 

See I thought FSM was very very underrated at the time. I remember I saw it and almost none of my other friends had, some hadn't even heard of it. And those types of movies were right up their alley.

It's of course kind of become one of those movies everyone knows now but I def remember the buzz around it being very low compared to the other movies from that group at the time.

 

Yeah but as of right now in 2019 I think it’s generally considered to be either the outright best or in the conversation. I feel like ILYM gets forgotten about constantly even to this day.

 

I just love Jason Segel

 

I used to watch I Love You Man almost daily. Haha. Love that movie so much. Would love to see him and Segel do something else together some day. That and Forgetting Sarah Marshall are all time greats.

 

I wish Jason Segel would do more comedies in general.

 

Wow, he hasn't been in a comedy in five years, last movie was Sex Tape

 

The Discovery on Netflix is still better than it has any right to be though

Except those "I eat a picture of Jason Segel everyday" videos lol

 

I'm pretty sure his experience on HIMYM gave him enough money to do whatever he wants, which is why he's doing more indie dramas. But I also think it wore him out when it comes to conventional comedies. He looked miserable during those last two or three seasons of HIMYM and in Sex Tape, along with dealing with alcoholism in real life.

 

Jason's writing YA novels lol but I miss him too

 

I Love You Man is incredible but as far as all the Apatow/Apatow-adjacent movies from that era Pineapple Express is just unbeatable for me

Has anybody seen Michael Che do standup? He announced a handful of shows here and I’m interested but they are pretty pricey

 

He has a special on Netflix. It was OK.

 

His standup on that Seth Rogen special Netflix was awful in several different ways.
