Would've loved a clip from the reboot, but other than that, I loved it

That sketch was better written than the audience gave it credit for. It was maybe a little too vivid

Not the best of the season but definitely up there. It's interesting that this felt more like a past writer returning than a host (not in a bad way)

So while this was a good episode, I feel like Mulaney was kind of holding back. Like he didn’t want to make himself the focus of any of the sketches aside from the classroom one and, sort of, the brunch one. I guess I just wanted him to do more. But there was a lot of solid material, gratuitous cold open that wasted a Ben Stiller appearance aside. And Update was fantastic.

Seriously though whoever’s idea it was to do that inasanely dated and embarrassing Meet The Parents bit needs to be fired. The more I’m thinking about it the angrier I’m getting.

Am I the only one who picked up on the line about the child actor... “Little Andy Cunanan who played the son has left the business.”

Both the lobster sketch and switcharoo are old. Mulaney said lobster was from 2010 and switcharoo was from 2012.

    my mom loves mulaney now

a pretty good episode - nothing egregiously awful outside of the cold open, lots of very mulaney lines. a fun, thoroughly solid if mostly unspectacular snl (mostly unspectacular because the lobster sketch was one of my favorite things all season, had me rolling for pretty much the entire time)

This was fantastic. Wish they had shown this instead of the reality show filmed piece at the end. I really hate when Beck and Kyle’s stuff gets bumped.
