I agree with the final decision, but there's no way that Threw It On the Ground beats out Jizz In My Pants.
Saw Colin Jost do standup last night. A bit too much "what do we think of this candidate" riffing and failed SNL sketch pitches, but about 35 minutes of his material were top notch. When he went straight observational, he slayed. Disappointing that he did that style of material for less than half his set.

Rolling Stone has their Top 10 sketches from this past season. 10 Best 'Saturday Night Live' Sketches From Season 41 | Rolling Stone I don't care what anyone says about the quality wavering season to season, but there's at least 15-20 sketches throughout any season that will have you dying.
That's how this show is and always has been. It's inconsistent by design and easily the most incorrectly maligned show on television.
I absolutely agree. Much of the show is viewed through nostalgia goggles, especially by those who don't watch it consistently. I feel like a lot of people/critics can view the show on an episode-by-episode basis and just decide that it's lacking in quality because as a whole they weren't laughing from beginning to end. Or maybe I'm just ranting haha, but still, I think critical reception is really interesting with this show.
I remember when a comic on a podcast said in regards to people who say "the show hasn't been funny since the original cast of the 1970's," he made a point in saying they only remember the greatest hits and even back then they had unfunny sketches.
Yep. Every season has great sketches. You only remember the good ones so it's easier present day to say it sucks because you're seeing the bad ones mixed in with the good ones week to week. This season had a ton of great sketches. I still laugh at this show each week.
Holy crap, Taran Killam will not be returning this year. Next to Kate McKinnon, he's been my favorite current cast member We Spoke to Taran Killam about why he's not returning to 'SNL'
Wow, surprised about Jay. I know the next few months will be focusing on Trump vs. Hillary but they're getting rid of their Obama in home stretch of his presidency.
UGHHH this sucks. Taran didn't even know it was coming too... We Spoke to Taran Killam about why he's not returning to 'SNL'
