I watched that trailer several times and did not realize that was Paul Rust as Paul Shaffer until they talked about it on Gourley and Rust.
Michael O'Donoghue at the end was great. I have heard stories that he was definitely that chaotic. Would not be shocked of he did actually do that to Jim Henson lol
Seeing very mixed reactions to this. Tempering my expectations (which I should have done already because of the Reitman of it all).
I feel like I've seen significantly more positive reviews than negative ones? Lot of people calling this an Oscar contender (nominated at least, doubt it wins anything)
I do not know or care about the lore so I can't speak on its accuracy but this was mostly quite good. Some moments where it felt like not everyone was fully there, specifically Hoffman and Braun (as Henson). No clue how a die hard fan of SNL/that era will take it but I enjoyed it
